ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A fatal shooting by an Albuquerque police officer has been ruled justified by a review panel.

The city Police Review Commission concluded that Officer Trey Economidy was justified in shooting 29-year-old Jacob Mitschelen two years ago.

The case drew national attention after Economidy had listed his job description on Facebook as "human waste disposal."

Economidy said he shot the man as the man turned toward him with a gun in his hand.
