ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The man accused of leading police on a chase at the Coronado Center mall made his first appearance in front of a judge on Wednesday.
Investigators caught Justin Córdova on Sunday and charged him with aggravated assault on a police officer among other alleged crimes.
Officers say Córdova and a woman, Brenda Sedillo, took off in a stolen van, smashed into six cars and threw out a stolen gun.
Police say the van was full of stolen stuff and quote Córdova as saying he would have shot at the officers chasing him if he could have.
The judge sent Córdova's bond at $100,000 cash or surety.
