SANTA FE (KRQE) - The initial autopsy for the baby girl whose body was found half buried in a field near Santa Fe is done but still doesn't answer important questions.
A man walking his dogs found the newborn girl in the upscale Eldorado subdivision Thursday morning.
The Office of the Medical Investigator reports the baby was full-term. But after an autopsy medical investigators cannot determine how she died.
More testing is being done although it will take weeks to get the results.
Santa Fe County sheriff's Investigators have identified and questioned the baby's mother but are saying little other than remains a person of interest.
