CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) - It looks like there's a wannabe cop out there trying to take advantage of unsuspecting drivers.

The Curry County Sheriff's Office says the Anglo man in his 20s or 30s is impersonating a police officer down to his clothing.

The man is sporting dark shirt and khaki utility pants with handcuffs on his belt and a gun in his holster.

He's driving a black Dodge Charger with emergency lights stopping people on State Route 209 north of Clovis.

Anyone with information on the man can contact the sheriff's office.
