ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - Deputies in southeastern New Mexico are investigating two murders, and for now investigators have little to go on.

A man's body was found smoldering on the side of Buffalo Valley Road near Lake Arthur in southern Chaves County.

A county worker discovered the remains around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A second man was found dead Monday by a hunter and his son near an oilfield site.

Both bodies have been sent to Albuquerque for identification and to determine the causes of death.
