ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The woman accused in the death of her young nephew after leaving him in a hot car pleaded not guilty in court Friday.
Police say Sandra Rodriguez-Miramontez left her 2-year-old nephew in a sweltering car for eight hours at the Albuquerque day care where she worked.
Miramontes was indicted on a charge of “child abuse negligently causing death.”
On Friday the judge ordered her held on a $5,000 cash/surety bond.
