ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - Roswell police are investigating after a woman says she was attacked outside of the hospital there.

Police say last week the 58-year-old victim was walking to her car when she says a woman approached her and demanded her purse.

When the victim didn't give it to her the suspect hit her several times.

The Roswell Daily Record is reporting the woman told police the suspect stabbed her with a hypodermic needle and got away with her hospital records.
