ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Closing arguments started Tuesday in the trial of a former Gallup paramedic who is charged with raping of an 11-year-old boy in an Albuquerque arroyo.
Prosecutors say 39-year-old Genaro Sandoval was linked to the 2003 rape through a DNA sample that was submitted in an FBI database after Sandoval pleaded guilty to child exploitation in 2007.
Sandoval is also charged with molesting five other boys in arroyos.
These are separate cases.
The jurors in this case were not allowed to hear about those other cases.
