ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque mother is charged with kidnapping after allegedly letting her son beat up his girlfriend.
Police arrested 37-year-old Nickolene Lujan after they say she let her 17-year-old son hit his girlfriend repeatedly as she drove them around.
The girlfriend was finally able to escape and get help from a neighbor.
She had to be taken to the hospital because her injuries were so bad.
Lujan is charged with child abuse and kidnapping among other things.
