RUIDOSO DOWNS, N.M. (KRQE) - A horse trainer charged with conspiring to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel through the Ruidoso Downs has been released from jail on bond.
Eusevio Maldonado Huitron was arrested last week during a raid that targeted a network alleged to have laundered millions of dollars at the Ruidoso Downs racetrack for the zetas drug gang.
Two other top zeta leaders are named in the indictment but are believed to be in Mexico.
