Teen shoots parents, 3 siblings in SW ABQ

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Authorities say a 15-year-old boy shot his parents and three young siblings inside their southwest Albuquerque home.

Deputies say 15-year-old Nehemiah Griego pulled the trigger killing his 51-year-old father, Greg Griego, 40-year-old mother, Sara, and three young siblings 9-year-old Zephania, 5-year-old Jael and 2-year old Angelina.

Investigators say Griego lives at the home where the bodies were found.

“Every case is unique, so I’ve been to homicide scenes, but I’ve never seen a scene quite like this, no,” Lt. Shureke Covington said.
   
Bernalillo County deputies responded to the Long Lane home just before 9:30 Saturday night after a 911 call came in.
    
The caller said there were possibly multiple people dead inside the home near Raymac and Coors.
    
When deputies arrived, they found two adults, a man and woman, two young girls and a boy all dead.
    
Each victim suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.  
    
Deputies say they also found multiple guns, including an assault-type rifle that they believe were used in the attack.
    
Officers say Nehemiah Griego told someone about the crime and they called 911.
    
Because of the number of victims and the size of the crime scene the sheriff says detectives could be processing the scene throughout Sunday and into Monday.

“You know, I’ve been down there with our investigators this morning, there's no other way to say it but we have a horrific crime scene we're working and it'll be intensive and we’ll work hard to do everything that needs to be done because of all that is involved,” Sheriff Dan Houston said.
    
Griego is now charged with two counts of murder and three counts of child abuse resulting in death.    

Greg Griego was the brother was the brother of former State Senator Eric Griego and was a prominent pastor in the community.
