ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A two-alarm fire early Saturday caused serious damage in the service area of a recreational-vehicle dealership in Albuquerque.
The fire at Rocky Mountain RV and Marine was reported at 5:30 a.m. The first units on the scene at 12700 Central Ave. SE reported heavy smoke coming from the service area of the main building.
Due to the size of the building a second alarm sounded eventually bringing 20 fire units, an Albuquerque Fire Department spokesperson said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze a little after 7 a.m. but at last report remained on the scene in case hot spots flared back up.
AFD public information officer Melissa Romero said the fire was contained in the service area, which suffered serious smoke and water damage. Three RVs, a boat and a Jet Ski were damaged, she added.
Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
