N.M. films up for 4 Oscars, 8 Razzies

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico films are up for four Academy Awards and eight Razzies, according to the Internet Movie Database.

Nominations for the Academy Awards were released Tuesday morning.

"Crazy Heart" is up for three Oscars — best actor (Jeff Bridges), best actress (Maggie Gyllenhaal), and best original song ("The Weary Kind" by Ryan Bingham and T-Bone Burnett). Bridges and "The Weary Kind" won the Golden Globes in those same categories.

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" was nominated for an Oscar for best achievement in sound.

On Monday, the second "Transformers" movie was nominated for seven Razzies: worst picture; worst actress (Megan Fox, who was also nominated for "Jennifer's Body"); worst director (Michael Bay); worst remake, rip-off or sequel; worst screen couple (Shia LeBeouf and "either Megan Fox or any Transformer"); worst screenplay and worst supporting actress (Julie White).

Sarah Jessica Parker was nominated for a Razzie for worst actress in "Did You Hear About the Morgans?"

The Oscar winners will be announced on Sunday, March 7, while the Razzie winners will be announced the day before.
