ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Home Depot will be hiring about 70,000 seasonal employees at store locations across the country. At least 250 those are coming to the Albuquerque area alone. That breaks down to about 30 to 35 jobs per location.
These are seasonal, part-time jobs that are set to begin in the Spring. The company says Spring is the busy season for them. The jobs will range from stocking shelves, to greeting and helping customers. Pay will depend on the job and your experience.
Some of the criteria they're looking for is people who've worked in retail stores before, but if you haven't they say it's no problem as long as your goal is to help the customers.
"We're looking for energetic, enthusiastic people that are willing to assist our customers," says Alvino Madueno, Eubank location store manager. "Spring is a very busy season for us, we're actually doing big hiring events with the Hispano Chamber of Commerce, we're partnering with here locally."
The company has also said that a lot of its seasonal jobs last year turned into full time employment. Those jobs can only be applied for online at careers.homedepot.com
