Starts new business after housing market crashed

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Former Realtor Jenny Klinger found herself needing a new career when the housing market suddenly crashed in 2008.

She soon found herself with a new rewarding career helping seniors move.

Klinger founded the moving company Moves Made EZ to specialize in helping the elderly downsize, move and set up their new residences. Most of the time that's in a senior or assisted-living center.

Klinger prides herself in going far beyond what other movers do. Her team does everything from put dishes in cabinets and hanging clothes in closets and pictures on walls to making sure toilet paper rolls and towels are stocked.

This team's job is delicate. They must take great care in understanding the emotions their clients are going through.

Many are watching 70 or 80 years of memories go away. Many have also had to deal with the recent loss of a spouse or face their own deteriorating health.

Klinger has found her new career especially rewarding. She says it brings much more than the realty industry ever did.

"Real estate was great economically when it was good, but at the end of the day no one would give you a hug," says Klinger.

More information is available on the Moves Made EZ website or by calling (505) 573-0005
