ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A new animal grooming business has opened in Albuquerque promising luxury at affordable prices.
The woman behind it is animal lover Sharon Gomez.
Gomez opened up the shop named " Paw Spa " near Central and Rio Grande this summer and her goal was to make sure pet owners could afford to take care of their pets.
"I know with this economy it's really hard right now but pets are family." says Gomez
Gomez prides herself on her prices. Grooming starts at $25, a nail clip is just $6 and a flea treatment is only $5. Gomez has also opened on Sundays to better serve her customers.
Gomez knows it was a risk to open up a business in this tough economy but says it was something she had to do.
"It's always scary. It's always a risk but it's worth it if it's your passion." says Gomez.

They're located at 309 Rio Grande N.W. (505) 554-8239.
