ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A big cat here in Albuquerque now has a brand new home.

Gibson, the cat, weighed about 30 pounds six months ago.
Dawn Glass with Animal Humane says that's the equivalent of a man weighing more than 300 pounds.
He was one of eight obese cats that were enrolled in the Feline Fit Club.
When he was adopted out he was down to 17 pounds.
