Whales get up close and personal with boaters

DANA POINT, Calif. (CNN) - Talk about a close encounter - some gray whales greeted boaters off the coast of southern California.
The adult whales, which are estimated to be about 45 to 50 feet long, came right up to the 15-foot fishing boat, even rubbing up against the engine.
The video was shot by a whale watching tour group on Sunday.
They say the whales displayed this friendly behavior throughout the day.
