PHILADELPHIA (CNN/WPVI) - A warning: The video with this story is tough to watch.
Authorities in Philadelphia have arrested a man suspected of throwing a woman on subway tracks.
Surveillance video of the incident on Tuesday shows the man walk up to the 23-year-old woman sitting on a bench.
He reportedly asks her for a lighter, walks away and then moves in and attacks her.
The man in the video then pulls her off the bench by her feet, drags her and throws her on the tracks.
The woman managed to pull herself to safety and suffered only minor injuries.
Police say they decided to hold off on telling the public what the suspect was wearing and managed to find him within 48 hours.
“I really wanted to catch this guy, and I truly felt that the best way to do that was to hold onto information about his jacket and put as many officers as I could to catch him. And it worked; it worked,” said Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority Police Chief Thomas Nestell.
Police say they aren't sure of the motive but believe the man may have mental health problems.
