OTTAWA, Ontario (CNN/CBC) - Nobody likes to sit in rush-hour traffic but this is a whole new definition to getting stuck on the highway.
A driver in Canada's capitol city Ottawa went straight into this huge sinkhole.
The driver told police he at first thought it was a black tarp on the pavement, but once he realized it was a giant hole, it was too late to stop.
He wasn't seriously hurt, but his car was swallowed into a sewer pipe beneath the roadway.
The hole has since doubled in size and requires major repairs before the highway can reopen.
Authorities say problems with the sewer pipe likely caused the sinkhole to open.
