ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - There is a new resident at the Albuquerque zoo.

Netty, a new female koala, arrived at the BioPark Wednesday afternoon from Los Angeles.

She's here to breed with Luke, a male koala who came to the zoo in November.

The two lived together for a bit in Los Angeles.

“Hopefully they'll still get along. She's pretty easy-going, he's pretty laid back. So it shouldn't be any problems,” Senior Zookeeper Stephanie Kain said.

The zoo is not sure when Netty will be on exhibit.

They say she needs to adjust to her new surroundings first and meet with Luke.
