ABQ shelter dog stars in award winning film

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque dog rescued from one of the shelters is part of an award winning film.

The movie titled, I Love Shakey, stars a dog named Ebony.

Ebony is owned and trained by an Albuquerque woman.

The film is not in the theaters but you can get it on demand or when it hits Red Box on August 7th.

It won awards from Dove and Kids First.
