THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION HAS ISSUED A * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... WESTERN DOLORES COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST COLORADO... SOUTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST COLORADO... * UNTIL 615 PM MDT * AT 545 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 9 MILES NORTHEAST OF DOVE CREEK...OR 29 MILES EAST OF MONTICELLO...AND MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. * THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF SOUTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL AND WESTERN DOLORES COUNTIES.

Areas affected: Uncompahgre Plateau, Dallas Divid, Northwestern San Juan Mountains, Southwest San Juan Mountains, Paradox Valley, Little Dolores Ri, Four Corners, Upper Dolores River
