...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING... A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING. SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE DURING THE AFTERNOON. EXPECT SUSTAINED SPEEDS BETWEEN 35 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH. VISIBILITIES WILL BE LOCALLY POOR DURING BLOWING DUST EPISODES. THE WARNED AREA EXTENDS FROM THE ARIZONA BORDER EAST ACROSS THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE...AND ALONG AND EAST OF THE CHUSKA MOUNTAINS IN WESTERN SAN JUAN AND MCKINLEY COUNTIES. WIND SPEEDS WILL DECREASE GRADUALLY AFTER SUNSET TO EASE THESE DANGEROUS WIND CONDITIONS.
