FOX - Pop sensations Ke$ha and Orianthi will take the stage on this week’s live AMERICAN IDOL results show Wednesday, March 17 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Tune in to see Ke$ha sing her smash single “Blah Blah Blah,” Orianthi perform her hit “According to You” and find out who receives enough votes to stay in the competition and who is sent home.

Also this week, on Tuesday, March 16 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), a new IDOL stage will be revealed and America’s Top 12 – Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Lacey Brown, Lee Dewyze, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban – will perform songs by The Rolling Stones.

Global pop superstar/singer-songwriter Ke$ha’s debut album, “ Animal,” (RCA Records/ Kemosabe Entertainment) entered the Billboard Top 200 at No. 1 and hit No. 1 on the Digital Albums charts when it was released in January. Rolling Stone said “ Animal” was “ridiculously catchy,” and The New York Times called her a “double threat” and “a pioneer.” “ Animal” holds the record for the best-ever digital-album sales for a new artist and is the third-biggest digital-album debut by a female, coming in right after Taylor Swift and Britney Spears. It also marked the biggest first week for an artist’s debut album released in January in SoundScan history. Her first single, “TiK ToK,” spent a record-setting nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has sold over 4 million copies in the U.S. and nearly 10 million units worldwide.

Orianthi is a 25-year-old Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist who was featured in Michael Jackson’s comeback concert film, “This Is It.” She has also opened for and recorded with Steve Vai, backed AMERICAN IDOL Carrie Underwood and traded solos with the legendary Carlos Santana. Her debut single, “According To You,” reached No. 6 in Australia and is the No. 2 most-played song on pop radio in the U.S. Her debut album, “Believe,” was released at the end of last year.
