A Michael Jackson tribute concert may happen before September according to one report. MSNBC.com reported that the show "This Is It" could happen soon.

"We’d now like to do it as soon as the next couple weeks," said one tour organizer according to MSNBC.com.

The LA Times reported that Kenny Ortega, the director of Michael Jackson's comeback concerts, is seeking to create a tribute to the singer using some of the choreography, costuming, musical staging and films that Jackson engineered for his concert run in London.

MyFoxLA reported that Rev. Al Sharpton was to meet with Michael Jackson's family members Monday to plan a possible worldwide celebration of Jackson's life. Sharpton said one way to honor Jackson would be to create "a day of mourning in key cities around the world on his birthday."

A public tribute at the Apollo Theater in New York City will be held on Tuesday. There will be music accompanied by video tributes. And on an outside wall mourners will be invited to write down their thoughts about Jackson's life and sudden death.
